International Water Law: The firm represents stakeholders in the water use and allocation conflict in Virginia and North Carolina involving the Roanoke River Basin. We are working with an alliance of regional stakeholders who seek to prevent water mismanagement and ensure sustainable use of the surface and groundwater resources in the basin. Additionally, our firm advocates for the rights of rural landowners with pending water use permit applications before regional agencies. Cardinal Law Group serves as counsel and advocates for the rights of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Southgate Natural Gas Pipeline Project.

Mark Joseph Catizone stands out as a Partner in the firm and represents some really interesting and high-profile startups, including a prominent wearable medical device company. As a trained engineer, he uses his extensive experience as a registered patent attorney to help clients navigate both the legal and technical details of their innovative products. Another partner, Seth J. Katz, has devoted his entire career to all the possible ways in which content is licensed, used, shared, protected, and recently has been focusing on the ever-growing areas of digital asset licensing and protection. He has also had his opinion cited by the US Supreme Court in Bilski v. Kappos, a very well-known patent case.
